Norway

Norway is a country of fjords, mountains and a long, indented coastline that is made for slow travel. For drivers coming from the Continent, the southern city of Kristiansand is the usual gateway, reached on the short ferry from Hirtshals in Denmark. From there the coastal roads and fjord crossings open up toward Stavanger, Bergen and the west. Bringing your own car or campervan makes the long distances much easier.
